Pathways that are Linked Learning certified, or are in the certification process, are located in many states across the United States, and in a number of countries, including India and Canada. Currently, the majority of Linked Learning certified pathways are located in California, where the Linked Learning movement has been most active over the past decade.

The state of California has identified 15 industry sectors. Each sector contains multiple career pathways in which to develop programs of study that can become an industry theme for a Linked Learning pathway. It is up to individual school districts and the region’s corresponding colleges and employers to conduct research into regional industry needs and determine which sectors and careers best serve their pathway students, industry and community.
